Hood Brook Apiary will have Raw, Wildflower Honey available from time to time as we start getting things going again after serious losses from a couple years ago. So, until we get back, at least, to where were where 3 years ago, honey will be very limited and most likely only in the fall. The it comes down to how Mother Nature and the bees themselves treat us as to the quantity of honey. However, rest assured, Quality WILL NOT be an issue when the honey is available.
We do not ship honey as the shipping costs are way out of line and I just can’t get myself to ask my potential customers to pay as much or more for the shipping as the honey itself. If you REALLY want it shipped to you, I’ll look into it and get a price and let you know. If you can’t do it, I totally understand.
However, for those in the area, when honey is available you can get it by appointment here at my home apiary in Pittsfield, Maine. Soon it will be available at the Vassalboro location as well.
Besides picking it up here, I’ll announce on the Hood Brook Blog if we will be at any Farmer’s Markets or County Fairs. Also, we sometimes sell from the back of our truck at various locations on the side of the road in Pittsfield, Waterville, Skowhegan, Newport and other areas. When honey is available, keep an eye on the blog for details.
