We Survived 2023-2024 And It's Looking Positive For 2024-2025 Season!
When Spring came, all the rest of the hives seemed to come through it well. The one hive at my house struggled but survived and grew quickly with the warming weather of Spring. So, losing 1 ½ hives out of 4 of mine, was about average. The money I earned from the previous year’s honey harvest was reinvested into the apiary for more bees to replace those lost and 1 or two more! We went into the Spring and summer of 2024 with optimism!
The friends who pitched in and paid for 3 packages of bees the year before suggested I start a GoFundMe page and try to get people to donate to help you recover and get back up to 10 hives. We considered this option but decided on Honeybee Sponsors and Foster-a-Hive Programs for 2025!
We are still struggling, but we haven’t given up and we just might be able to survive the big loss and get back up to where we were in 2021, and continue to grow…, WITH YOUR HELP! We’re thinking positively and feeling good about our future!
So please check out our Foster-a-Hive program or the two Sponsorship Programs. If they are out of your budget, please consider donating what you can. There is no such thing as too small of a donation as every dollar adds up. It helps us cover a lot of costs such as feeding, and winterizing hives, more hives, and bees! All this while we continue to recover from disaster and grow. We are also starting a “Fields of Beauty” program where we will be planting wildflower seeds to build a food source and habitat for the bees and other pollinators! Those who sponsor bees or foster hives will get a package of wildflower seeds included with their rewards. You can plant them wherever you’d like or donate them back to us for planting in other areas. So, together we can save the apiary while saving the bees and other pollinators.
Here’s to a strong, productive 2025!
Thank you to all who have and are playing a part in our recovery! Also, for those considering helping, Thank You all for your support in advance! BEE HAPPY!
